Antsy Color — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 5 October 2026 (updated 13 October 2026: local reminders and the Google Play rating card)
Antsy Color ("the game", "we") is a puzzle game for Android, iOS and the web. This policy explains what happens to information when you play. The short version: we never ask for your name, email or an account, and we never sell information about you. The game sends anonymous usage statistics (which levels are played and finished), which you can turn off in Settings. The phone app also shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device data to serve them (see Advertising below).
What the game stores, and where
- Your progress stays on your device. Levels, stars, coins, album stamps, settings and ant colors are saved only in the game's local storage on your phone, tablet or browser. We have no server that receives it, and we cannot see it.
- No account, no login. You never give us a name, email address, phone number or password.
- Uninstalling the app (or clearing the browser's site data) deletes your progress. There is no cloud copy.
- Reminders are local. If you allow notifications, the app schedules a few gentle reminders (today's painting, your streak, an unfinished picture) on your phone itself, at most one a day and never at night. No server sends them and no data leaves your device to set them up. Turn them off anytime in Settings → Reminders, or in your phone's notification settings.
- Rating card. Now and then, after a perfect painting, the app may ask Google Play to show its standard rating card. Google Play decides whether it appears and handles any rating you give; the game never learns whether or how you rated it, and nothing in the game depends on it.
Purchases
Coin packs, the Starter pack and other in-app products are sold through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies. We never receive your card number, billing address or account details. The game receives only a confirmation that a product was bought (a purchase token), which it uses on your device to deliver the product once.

Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Android and iOS apps show ads served by Google AdMob: a small banner under the game screen and optional videos you can choose to watch for coins or a stamp. Buying "Remove banner ads" removes the banner; the videos stay optional. The web version shows no ads.
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app collects and sends to Google: your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (which Google may use to estimate your general location), app interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views, and diagnostics such as app launch time and performance. Google uses this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention under its own policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We never receive this data.
- Consent. Where the law requires it (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your choice with Google's consent form before any ad loads. Until you agree, ads are non-personalised. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy & ad choices.
- Family-friendly ads. Ads are limited to general-audience (G-rated) content.
- Opt out of personalised ads. On Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"). On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also manage Google's ad personalisation at https://adssettings.google.com and learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Anonymous usage analytics
To learn which puzzles are too hard, too easy or confusing, the game sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (posthog.com), an analytics service that processes them for us as our data processor, on servers in the United States. We do not sell this data or share it with anyone else, and it is never used for advertising.
- What is sent: game events such as "level started", "level finished" or "level jammed" with game details (level number, picture, mode, taps, time, stars, whether a hint or rewind was used); opening the coin shop and which product was chosen and whether the purchase went through (the product name only, never prices, payment details or order numbers); album stamps and pages collected; settings switched on or off; tutorial steps; whether you allowed reminders, which kind of reminder was scheduled or opened, and when the game asked Google Play for its rating card (never what you rated); and the app version, platform (web, Android or iOS) and display style.
- The identifier: a random install ID created by the game the first time it runs, plus a random session ID. They are not linked to your name, email, account, device serial number or advertising ID (the analytics never read it).
- What is not sent: no name, email, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, files, or anything you type. We do not record your screen or your taps outside the game events above.
- IP address: like any internet request, the connection reveals your IP address to PostHog. We have set PostHog to discard IP addresses and not to work out a location from them.
- Retention: events are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted.
- Turn it off: Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data. Switching it off stops sending at once, deletes any unsent events and the random install ID from your device, and is remembered. Switching it back on starts a new random ID, which can't be connected to the old one.
- Security: events are sent only over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Because the install ID is random and not tied to you, we can't look up or separate "your" events. If you have a question or a request about this data, write to us at the address below.
Tracking and other third parties
Two outside services receive data from the game, each described above:
- PostHog (anonymous usage analytics, our data processor; never used for advertising): https://posthog.com/privacy
- Google AdMob (ads in the Android and iOS apps; Google uses the advertising ID, approximate location, app interactions and diagnostics for advertising, under its own policy): https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Apart from these, the game contains no other analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. It does not use your precise location, your contacts, your camera, your microphone or your files. All game art, sounds and fonts are bundled with the app, so apart from analytics, ads and the store purchase flow you start yourself, playing makes no network requests.
The web version is served by our web host, which (like any website host) may process your IP address in short-lived server logs for security and delivery. We do not use those logs to identify you.
Children
Antsy Color is designed for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no personal information from anyone, children included: the analytics above are anonymous and can be switched off in Settings, and ads are limited to general-audience (G-rated) content. If you believe a child has made a purchase without permission, contact Google Play or Apple for a refund.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you: no account, and the analytics carry only a random ID that we can't link to you. You can stop analytics at any time in Settings, which also deletes that ID on your device. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, and change your ad choices in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. You can delete everything the game stores on your device by uninstalling it or clearing its site data. For data Google holds for advertising, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at this address.
